Job Function:
- Shifts: 3x12 Nights | Wednesdays through Saturdays, 2:30 PM to Midnight.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology. Correctly chooses appropriate patient information from HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Positions patient and radiographic equipment appropriate to the body part(s) to be radiographed and adjusts equipment settings accordingly to ensure maximum information is obtained. Answers all questions that the patient may have.
- Performs transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS in a complete and proper anatomic display.
- When doing cases that require immediate results such as Code Grey, Trauma and Partial Trauma the images will be acquired, processed, sent and verified/completed in PACS / RIS system per established protocol l(Immediately after acquisition for Code Grey). The CT technologist will notify the radiologist as Code Grey images are being sent and follow with any processed data after. All staff should notify the radiologist of ANY unusual finding to provide the optimum care for the patient.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Rad/CT Tech. First-time travelers are accepted.
Licensure: Active New York State License (DOH NYS) must be in hand (or have a firm ETA on the issue date).
Certifications:
ARRT (R) – Radiography
ARRT (CT) – Computed Tomography
IV Certification
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Equipment: Must have hands-on experience operating Siemens equipment.
Charting: Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills:
X-Ray Procedures: Extremities (upper and lower), Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, and Musculoskeletal.
CT Procedures: Abdomen and Pelvis (with/without contrast), Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs (Vascular), and Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR).
General: Portables, Emergency Department, and ICU care.
