Job Function:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify causes of challenging behaviors and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with measurable goals and evidence-based strategies.
- Monitor client progress, collect data, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support consistent implementation of care.
- Supervise and train staff, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), to ensure quality service delivery.

- Must meet “Highly Qualified Paraprofessional” requirements as defined by federal laws (No Child Left Behind and IDEA).
- Must meet educational requirements outlined in Chapter 14, PA Code 22.
- Demonstrated competency in basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Valid Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances required.
- Valid tuberculosis test and physical examination (reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with ADA, as applicable).
- Must complete 20 hours of approved annual staff development activities per Chapter 14, PA Code 22.
- U.S. citizen or valid work authorization required.
- Additional qualifications may be considered as deemed appropriate by the school board or superintendent.
