Position: Emergency Department / Critical Care Registered Nurse. Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available. Unit Details: Large, high-acuity, dynamic emergency care unit featuring 118 beds. Patient Population: Highly diverse mixed acuity, ranging from behavioral health and boarding patients to critically ill and ICU-level patients. Patient Ratios: Typically 1:5 to 1:6.

Job Function:

 

  • Complex Patient Management: Comfortably manage, stabilize, and care for complex, unstable, and critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.

  • Diverse Case Care: Provide adaptable nursing care across multiple medical profiles, including trauma/emergency, ICU overflow, psychiatric holding, and general boarding populations.

  • Critical Care Delivery: Demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills and critical care competencies in a high-volume unit.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience, completed post-orientation.

  • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.

  • Core Competencies: Proven critical care skills, exceptional adaptability, and comfort working within a highly fluid, high-acuity setting.
