WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing a wide range of emergent and life-threatening conditions.

Job Function:

  • Shift: 3x12  
  • Rotating shifts: Days / Evenings / Nights
    • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
  • Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and perform EKGs
  • Assist with procedures including splinting and point-of-care testing
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC ASAP
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Float to other units as needed

Job Requirements:


Job Requirements:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
  • NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
  • Experience with EPIC ASAP EMR preferred
  • Strong ED skill set including IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, and patient assessment
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
