WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced  Emergency Room Registered Nurse  for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in  Boston, MA. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life‑threatening conditions.

Job Function:

  • Shift: 36 hrs/ 3x12 Nights 7p-7a EOW/EOH
  • Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life‑threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high‑intensity interventions.
  • Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation  assistance).
  • Maintain  accurate  and  timely  documentation in the EMR.

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing  (BSN).
  • Minimum 4 years of RN experience.
  • Minimum 1 year recent travel nursing experience.
  • Minimum 1 year Level I Trauma experience required.
  • BLS required.
  • Active RN License required.
