We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager (CPA) to join our growing public accounting firm. This individual will play a key role in overseeing tax engagements, managing workflow, mentoring staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to a long-standing and diverse client base. The ideal candidate is technically strong, client-focused, organized, and comfortable operating in a collaborative, relationship-driven environment.

Compensation : $130000 - $150000

Job Function:

  • Manage and review a variety of tax engagements, including corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Oversee tax compliance processes, quarterly projects, and year-end filings to ensure accuracy and timely completion
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients across multiple industries and entity structures
  • Manage engagement budgets, production goals, and workflow scheduling to optimize team efficiency and client service
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships through regular communication and in-person meetings
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff members, including reviewing work and providing technical guidance
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on operational improvements, workflow management, and strategic initiatives
  • Utilize and support firm technology platforms including Lacerte, QuickBooks, and CCH Engagement
  • Assist with implementation and adoption of emerging technologies and AI-driven process improvements within the tax function
  • Stay current on tax regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices

  • CPA a Must
  • 5+   years of experience
  • Lacerte, QuickBooks & CCH Engagement Exp a big plus
  • Strong experience with corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Prior experience reviewing returns and managing workflow preferred
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
